Fanfiction has always been a part of fandom and slash fanfiction has especially been a way for queer people to express their identities in their favorite shows. Now fanfiction has made it into the mainstream so much that we are writing fiction about fanfiction experiences. In this panel presented by The Mary Sue, we'll be talking about the history of fanfiction from Spock/Kirk to Fangirl and Ship It, with a side of "which of your favorite literary characters are OC's?"
